Mission & Goals
IOGP Europe supports and contributes to the EU's objective of climate neutrality by 2050. We call for a technology inclusive policy framework to conciliate the achievement of EU climate objectives with economic growth, jobs creation and competitiveness. We recognise that there are many challenges on the road to meet this objective as the energy transition will require significant investments, new technologies, effective policies and behavioural changes. In Brussels, IOGP Europe represents participants with an interest in Europe. IOGP Europe participates, among others, in the EU Offshore Advisory Group (EUOAG), the Gas Coordination group, the Madrid European Gas Regulatory Forum, the Marine Directive working group, the Good environmental status Working group, the Noise working group, the Marine Expert group as well as other consultative groups set up by the European Commission, and it is the prime interlocutor for energy policy, environmental and other issues related to this industry.
