Mission & Goals
The goals of the International Association of Aviation Personnel Schools (IAAPS) are - to maintain and improve the standards of (aviation personnel) training; - to serve the joint interest of the members of IAAPS. IAAPS shall achieve its goals by: - promoting appropriate standards towards authorities and industry; - participating in public discussions concerning the standards of training of Aviation Personnel; - representing the joint interest of the members towards authorities, societies, suppliers and other relevant organisations
EU Legislative Interests
IAAPS is focused on European policies related to transportation, aviation and education. Of special interest are the Basic regulation (Regulation (EU) 2018/1139; Regulation Aircrew (Commission Regulation No 1178/2011) and Regulation Air Operations (Commission Regulation No 965/2011) as well as any other regulation related to aviation and the qualification of aviation personnel.

IAAPS Annual Meetings, publications on the IAAPS website, IAAPS Workshops Participation in EASA workshops, task forces, rule making tasks, Communities, Steering groups, Action groups of the EASA Stakeholder advisory board. Cooperation with European Aviation Maintenance Training Committee.

Additional Information
IAAPS board members are active without any financial support from IAAPS. The board members are paid by there employers, which are members of IAAPS. The administration for secretariat and finance gets an annual refund of €5.000. IAAPS is funding travel costs of board members and representatives participating in EASA activities when necessary. IAAPS is funding workshops for its members. Many activities are meanwhile online based on the experience gathered during the pandemic.
