Mission & Goals
GINETEX is the International Association for Textile care labelling and owns and oversees the use of the five care symbols that are used on billions of garments a year. Developped in the 60's, GINETEX is a globally applicable system for labelling textile care using symbols. This system offers consumers and textile companies accurate information on the proper care of textile products. Following the processes indicated by the symbols helps prevent any irreversible damage to the product and reduces its environmental impact. In addition, based on its 60 years of experience, GINETEX maintains a system of technical support for the proper use of the textile care symbols, ensuring the successful implementation of the labelling scheme.
