Mission & Goals

The IDHUS Institute is an organisation specialized in the application of new technologies for Smart Cities and sustainable urban development. We apply data, technology, and AI-driven systems to enhance the functionality, efficiency, and inclusivity of contemporary cities. By combining multidisciplinary research, strategic foresight, and technological innovation, we analyze how urban environments evolve, adapt, and transform in response to the complex challenges of the 21st century. Our mission is to help shape the future of cities as intelligent ecosystems that foster human, social, economic, and environmental progress

EU Legislative Interests

Urban transformation through various thematic axes that allow us to analyze, interpret, and project the main challenges and opportunities of contemporary cities.

Communication Activities

Events and International Conferences We organize and participate in global conferences, expert roundtables, and cross-disciplinary forums that bring together urbanists, technologists, policymakers, and innovators.cThese events foster critical dialogue and knowledge exchange, creating a collaborative space where ideas evolve into shared strategies for the responsible use of AI in urban development. Innovation and Research Projects We participate in international projects focused on applying intelligent technologies to urban challenges, ranging from smart infrastructure and mobility optimization to data-driven policy design and climate adaptation. Many of these initiatives are supported by European Union programs such as Horizon Europe, as well as by collaborations with cities, universities, and research centers. Through these projects, the Institute contributes to the design of scalable, ethical, and sustainable urban intelligence frameworks. Collaboration and Global Networks The IDHUS Institute actively builds alliances and partnerships with academic institutions, international organizations, public administrations, and private sector leaders. We believe that the future of cities depends on cross-sector collaboration and shared innovation. Our global network fosters joint research, knowledge transfer, and policy dialogue aimed at shaping the intelligent, sustainable cities of tomorrow.
