Mission & Goals
The Institute for Demographic Future is an independent institute focused on demographic development, social sustainability, family policy, quality of life, and long-term societal progress in Slovenia and Europe. The institute conducts research, public awareness activities, educational initiatives, and policy analysis related to population trends, youth development, migration, housing, family wellbeing, and the future of European society. Our mission is to encourage constructive dialogue and support innovative demographic and social solutions that contribute to a healthier, more balanced, and sustainable future for current and future generations. The institute also promotes public engagement, interdisciplinary cooperation, and international collaboration on demographic and social issues.
EU Legislative Interests
The Institute follows and contributes to discussions related to: - EU Youth Strategy 2019–2027 - European Pillar of Social Rights - EU Demography Toolbox - Long-term Vision for Rural Areas - policies related to demographic resilience, youth participation, social cohesion and family support within the European Union. The organisation aims to participate in public dialogue, awareness initiatives and exchanges concerning long-term demographic challenges and the future sustainability of European communities.
