Mission & Goals

The Innovative Advanced Materials Initiative, IAM-I, is the international non-profit Association that serves as the voice of European Advanced Materials research and innovation. It operates the European co-programmed partnership Innovative Advanced Materials for Europe (IAM4EU) announced in the European Commission’s communication on Advanced Materials for Industrial Leadership (Feb 2024) and in the Horizon Europe strategic plan 2025-2027. The association gathers more than 300 members, of in a mix of industrial players, research organisations and universities, associations and others. IAM-I is set to contribute to the shaping of European Union policies of relevance for Advanced Materials, and in particular, to operate the co-programmed partnership Innovative Advanced Materials for Europe (IAM4EU), under the current Framework Programme for Research and Innovation of the European Union (FP9).
