Mission & Goals
Innovation Norway’s primary goal is to stimulate sustainable business development across all regions of Norway. The organisation works to ensure that Norwegian businesses grow profitably while contributing positively to society and the environment. Its key objectives include: - Business Development: Promoting entrepreneurship and supporting profitable business growth throughout Norway. - Sustainable Growth: Encouraging environmentally responsible and sustainable business practices. - Competitiveness: Strengthening the international competitiveness of Norwegian companies. - Collaboration: Building strong partnerships between businesses, research institutions, and knowledge communities. - Export Promotion: Supporting Norwegian companies in expanding their exports and reaching new markets. - Innovation: Driving innovation, with a particular focus on green and future-oriented technologies.
EU Legislative Interests
We closely monitor developments within the EU on behalf of our organisation and clients. We assist Norwegian companies by monitoring political trends, supporting them with policy analysis, and strengthening their strategic positioning. While we cover a broad range of policy areas, our primary focus lies in the following: - Energy policies (Industrial Accelerator Act, RED, ETD, ETS, CBAM, Net-Zero Industry Act) - Maritime policies (Sustainable Transport Investment Strategy, EU Ports Strategy, Industrial Maritime Strategy) - Sustainability and circular economy (CSRD, Bioeconomy Strategy and Circular Cconomy Act) - Artificial intelligence (AI Continent Action Plan, Apply AI Strategy, AI in Science Strategy) - Competitiveness and funding: Horizon Europe, Startup and Scaleup Strategy, Savings and Investment Union
