Mission & Goals
Main targets of the Housing Initiative for Eastern Europe as a registered association (e.V.) are: - Initiating and participating in the development and implementation of replicable model and pilot projects in housing, building and urban development in Eastern Eu-rope, Caucasus and Central Asia - Participating in the conception and preparation of housing projects and programmes on the basis of pilot projects, targeting a broad and sustainable development of the housing economy in Central and Eastern Europe, especially with regard to energy savings, reducing carbon emissions and mitigating energy poverty - Assisting institution building and legislation processes aiming at market-oriented and sustainable structures - Advanced training and education programmes for different target groups in housing, building, renovation and urban (re)development.

Among our members, the GdW and the dv initiate communication activities addressing EU institutions, to which we contribute where applicable.
