Mission & Goals
Industrial Economics, Inc. (IEc) is an economics and environmental consulting organization founded in 1981 and headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The firm specializes in corporate environmental sustainability and greenhouse gas (GHG) management; evaluation of energy and environmental programming; and applied economic and financial analysis of energy and environmental challenges. In the sustainability space, IEc specializes in providing Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG footprinting; climate risk assessment; nature-based strategy and solutions; and environmental impact and GHG reduction strategic planning, target setting, and program implementation. IEc is an expert in sustainability reporting through a variety of platforms, and in preparing regulatory climate disclosures. IEc has approximately 150 consulting staff; consulting staff have academic backgrounds in economics, science, business, and/or public policy, coupled with energy, environmental, or natural resources management education.
