Mission & Goals
IMW Institut doo is a Serbian private company and an accredited testing laboratory under ISO 17025. Our mission is to support industry through high-quality testing, inspection, research, and development services in areas such as metals, welded joints, coatings, polymers, rubber, and environmental samples (e.g., water). As part of a regional eco-industrial park, we aim to contribute to sustainable development, standardization, and technological innovation in line with EU values and regulatory frameworks. Our registration in the EU Transparency Register reflects our interest in staying informed about relevant EU policies and in contributing to dialogue regarding research, environment, and industrial development.
EU Legislative Interests
IMW Institut monitors and engages with EU policies and initiatives relevant to industrial laboratories, applied research, and environmental sustainability, including: Horizon Europe research and innovation framework European Green Deal EU Industrial Strategy Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability REACH and CLP regulations Circular Economy Action Plan EU policies on standardization and accreditation These policies are directly relevant to our work as a testing laboratory and our participation in R&D activities with industrial partners and academic institutions.
Communication Activities
So far, IMW Institut doo has participated primarily in the Eco-Industrial Park initiative, which aligns with the EU’s goals on sustainable industrial development and environmental policies. Through this initiative, we have engaged in information exchange, networking events, and collaborative efforts aimed at promoting sustainability and compliance with environmental standards inspired by EU policies. We plan to expand our communication activities by participating in additional conferences, workshops, and dissemination efforts related to EU research and environmental programs in the future.

IMW Institut doo is a member of the Eco-Industrial Park initiative, which fosters collaboration between companies and organizations committed to sustainable industrial development. Currently, we are not affiliated with any other EU-specific networks or professional associations, but we remain open to future memberships that align with our strategic goals.
Organisation Members
IMW Institut doo collaborates closely with several sister companies within the MIND Group as well as other companies that are part of the Eco-Industrial Hub initiative. This network of companies works together on sustainable industrial development, environmental protection, and innovation projects, fostering regional collaboration and alignment with EU policies.
Additional Information
IMW Institut doo primarily finances its activities through commercial services related to testing, inspection, and research. We do not currently receive direct EU funding as an organization, nor do we have subsidiary companies that receive EU funds. Our representatives involved in EU-related activities are not remunerated separately for these specific tasks; such work is part of their regular duties. Additionally, some activities related to sustainability and collaboration within the Eco-Industrial Park initiative are conducted on a pro-bono basis or with minimal additional budget allocation. Overall, our budget for EU-related activities is currently limited but expected to grow as we increase our participation in EU projects and initiatives.
