Mission & Goals
Imperial College London is a world leading university for science, technology, engineering, medicine and business and is known for its application of these skills to industry and enterprise -- with a focus on doing science for humanity. Imperial is an international community with undergraduates coming from 145 countries, and our researchers collaborate with partners in over 190 countries. This international engagement plays a significant role in our research excellence, with the most recent UK Research Excellence Framework noting that Imperial is home to the greatest concentration of high-impact research of any major UK university. We have over 23,000 students in undergraduate and postgraduate studies across our four faculties in 28 departments, and over 8,000 staff. Over 9,500 degrees are awarded by Imperial College London every year. Our primary areas of activity are education, research and entrepreneurship.
