IIDEA - Italian Interactive Digital Entertainment Association

Mission & Goals

IIDEA is the national trade association of the video game industry in Italy. It was founded in the early 2000s with the aim of representing the sector through a unitary approach. It currently has over 90 members, including console manufacturers, video game publishers and developers and operators in the esports sector. IIDEA’s mission is to create a favorable environment for the development of the sector in Italy and to enhance the role of video games in the economy, society and culture of the country. To achieve these objectives, the Association is committed to activities such as the publication of market reports, surveys on operators in the sector, collaborations with public institutions and the promotion of video game culture through events and initiatives. IIDEA is part of a network of international industry associations and at European level it is part of Video Games Europe and the European Game Developers Federation.
