Mission & Goals
Danube Logistics ("the Company") is the general investor and operator of Giurgiulești International Free Port (“GIFP”), the main sea-river port of the Rep. of Moldova. The port is located at the confluence of Danube and Prut rivers. The Company is landlord of the GIFP territory based on a long-term lease agreement with the government. The Company is the owner of the port infrastructure, it has the role of a port authority and at the same time the Company is the port operator. It provides services for cargo handling and storage, transportation, and other logistics and port related services. The port handles liquid bulk cargo, dry bulk cargo, general cargo and containers. In 2025, the port handled about 2 mln tons of cargo. In its capacity as landlord of GIFP, the Company subleases land plots to third parties who invest into own facilities on this land and use port services.

Additional Information
It is the first time that the Company applies for funding from the EU. In the moment, the costs only comprise internal expenses for elaborating the project fiche and the planned meeting.
