Mission & Goals

IACTA regroups a number of international organizations operating in the international card payment space and providing financial services for the benefit of cardholders using their card abroad when paying for goods and services, including multicurrency services and Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC). The group's focus is on the creation of a level playing field for all those who operate in such an industry.

EU Legislative Interests

Follow-up of the EU Cross Border Payment Regulation 2021/1230 amendments, approved in March 2019, with specific reference to Art. 4 and Art. 14. PSD2 review, for the part related to international payments. Support to the legislative process concerning the new Payment Services Directive and the Payment Services Regulation (with specific reference to Art.31).

Communication Activities

Implementation of the amendments to regulation 2021/1230 on cross-border payments and currency conversion charges, as approved by the EU Parliament in March 2019. Feedback to the EU Commission on the same regulation. Publication of a guide to the EU Regulation 2021/1230. Position paper on the access to payment systems within the Payment Services Regulation (website and LinkedIn)
