Mission & Goals

The Genesis Project, established in June 1996 in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, aims to create a free and open society supporting individual development. Its mission is to help children and adolescents achieve free psychophysical development regardless of background. Core Values: 1. Nonviolence: Opposing all violence. 2. Conflict transformation: Seeing conflicts as opportunities. 3. Youth participation: Youth as positive change agents. 4. Non-discrimination: Equal opportunities for all. 5. Transparency: Commitment to honesty and responsibility. 6. Sustainability: Striving for peace and conscious impact. Key 2023 Projects: 1. eUPSHIFT: Empowering marginalized youth through social innovation and entrepreneurship. 2. Football for Peace: Promoting unity and personal development via football. 3. Football for Peace Community League: - Focus: Promote unity and personal development among youth of different ethnic backgrounds through football. - Activity: Organizing football matches, training mediators and coaches, and facilitating community engagement through sports. - EU Policy Alignment: EU Youth Strategy, European Pillar of Social Rights, EU Action Plan on Integration and Inclusion. 3. Here are some key memberships and affiliations: 1. NGO Academy: - Genesis Project is a member of the NGO Academy, which connects over 560 organizations across 14 countries. This membership provides opportunities for capacity building, collaboration, and participation in social innovation and management programs. 2. UEFA Foundation for Children: - Supported by the UEFA Foundation for Children, Genesis Project implements initiatives such as the "Football for Peace Community League," promoting youth development through sports. 3. Network for Building Peace: - As a member of the Network for Building Peace, Genesis Project joins 180 organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina working towards social and economic renewal, promoting non-violent conflict resolution, and enhancing societal cohesion.
