Mission & Goals
Hostage Aid Worldwide is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that was established in September 2020 by a group of former hostages from around the world, families of hostages as well as human rights and subject matter experts to advocate and fight for the release of foreign hostages and unlawful detainees globally while aiming to prevent this inhumane act from occurring to other innocent people. Hostage Aid’s mission is to assist hostage victims and their families by providing insights on their cases; advocating for the release of foreign hostages/unlawfully detained abroad; coordinating with governments & UN bodies; and crafting a strategy to disrupt the hostage business model and the emerging threat of hostage diplomacy through combining global advocacy with empirical data driven methods and extensive research.
