Mission & Goals
HOMA seeks to advance justice, protection, and inclusion for LGBTQI+ individuals affected by systemic marginalization in and outside Iran. Our mission is to address critical gaps in advocacy, education, and safety through intersectional, trauma-informed, and community-centered approaches. We aim to foster sustainable, rights-based frameworks that challenge criminalization, promote visibility, and support the long-term well-being and resilience of queer communities under threat.
EU Legislative Interests
Human rights, LGBTIQ equality, digital rights and digital security, protection of civil society and human rights defenders, freedom of expression, gender equality, anti-discrimination policies, EU external action on human rights and democracy, and EU policies concerning Iran and vulnerable communities.
Communication Activities
Homa conducts awareness-raising, educational, and advocacy activities related to LGBTQI+ rights, digital safety, anti-discrimination, and human rights in Iran. Activities may include online campaigns, workshops, community discussions, educational content, research-based publications, and participation in civil society dialogues and human rights events. The organisation also supports safer digital practices and access to information for vulnerable LGBTQI+ individuals and activists.

Member Of
The organisation has applied for membership of IGLYO and is currently in the process of becoming formally admitted. The organisation has collaborated with FEMENA on a joint panel discussion related to women’s rights and human rights advocacy. This engagement was in the form of a shared public event/panel and does not constitute formal membership. https://femena.net/

The estimated budget for 2026 is approximately USD 8,000, funded by UAF (Urgent Action Fund for Feminist Activism). No additional funding sources are currently confirmed.
