EU Legislative Interests

Holcim follows the activities of the EU institutions principally relating to: construction and construction-related standards (e.g. EN15804), climate change and decarbonisation (e.g. EU ETS, CBAM, Industrial Carbon Management), energy (e.g. energy efficiency in Buildings Directive), circular economy (e.g. Waste Framework Directive), environment (incl. waste, biodiversity and industrial emissions), innovations (e.g. Innovation Fund and HorizonEurope) and sustainable finance. Holcim specifically follows initiatives under the European Clean Industrial Deal (e.g. Circular Economy Action Plan, the Renovation Wave, the EU Industrial strategy).

Communication Activities

Holcim participates actively to the activities of trade federations and other organisations it adheres to. As an active member of Cement Europe, we participate to the "Concrete Dialogue" which aims to put forward the role of concrete in sustainable construction. Holcim also collaborates with construction-related trade bodies, such as Construction Products Europe.
