Mission & Goals
HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht provides education for students and professionals aged 17-67. Currently, around 35,000 students, spread over locations in Utrecht en Amersfoort, attend our programmes and courses. We have over 50 professors who conduct research into issues arising in professional practice and society, ensuring constant revision and improvement of our education programmes and a valuable contribution to innovation in professional practice in Utrecht Region, the Netherlands and beyond. HU works in close cooperation with companies, institutions, educational partners and local and regional governments. To discover our economic impact on the region, an impact analysis was conducted, showing € 350 million value added and employment figures of 3,811 fte in 2015.
EU Legislative Interests
Higher education, research and innovation. Solutions for the Societal Challenges. Our focus is on health, digitalisation, sustainability and education.
