Mission & Goals
HMD Global Oy (“HMD”) is an original equipment manufacturer (“OEM”) based in Finland. HMD manufactures HMD, Nokia and white-label mobile phones. The company is a licensee of the Nokia brand for feature phones. HMD also offers mobile services. HMD wishes to remain in the EU Transparency Register with a purpose of ensuring fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) access to essential technologies for market participants, with aim to 1) prevent abuse of market power, 2) promote innovation and fair competition,3) resolve licensing disputes fairly in line with EU competition laws, 4) enable European manufacturing and security solutions.
