Mission & Goals
We ensure our clients communicate their stories to the audience that matter most to their brands, their businesses and their issues. There are few issues or challenges we haven’t faced – from helping clients manage and protect their reputations, navigate change, drive brand awareness, or advance policy change. Our diverse team consistently deliver bold yet pragmatic campaigns and strategies that ensure our clients' goals are met. Good communications is about emphasising simplicity, creativity and quality. Relationships matter, and details count. Having helped clients navigate the Brussels and Belgian media and policy scenes for over five decades, our expertise today acknowledges the increasing impact of social and digital media on the way people find, share and interact with information.

Given Hill & Knowlton International Belgium' broad client base, our advice to our clients focuses on all areas of EU policy making. These range from energy and environment, transport, financial services, food and consumer affairs, sustainability, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, agriculture and fisheries, information and communication technologies, media, defence, intellectual property, professional services, diplomatic relations, travel, chemicals and industrial policies.

Additional Information
Hill & Knowlton International Belgium takes its ETI registration responsibilities seriously. Outlined below are the details of our approach. To determine our total turnover linked to lobbying the EU institutions we: 1. Start with our total turnover for 2024 2. Deduct turnover generated by services unrelated to the EU institutions (e.g. Belgian public relations or international communications work) or which involved no contact with any officials or policy-makers of the EU institutions 3. Deduct communications work performed for the EU institutions As indicated above, we generally apply a wide interpretation of what should be considered lobbying. If we help a client to engage with the EU institutions on an issue, we generally count all our efforts as lobbying (preparation, intelligence gathering, strategic advice, designing advocacy, advertising etc.) even if some aspects of the work could be excluded from registration. Please also note that following the merger of WPP’s two largest communications agencies, Hill & Knowlton International Belgium and BCW, to form Burson, as of 1 July 2024 we operate under new brand Burson. However, since in Brussels we have maintained two separate legal entities until now (one for Hill & Knowlton International Belgium and one for BCW), each entity has a separate entry in the TR. More information related to merger can be found at https://www.wpp.com/en/news/2024/01/wpp-unites-bcw-and-hill-knowlton-to-create-burson as well as at https://www.bursonglobal.com/.
