Mission & Goals
Helsinki EU Office on Helsingin kaupungin, Espoon kaupungin, Vantaan kaupungin, Uudenmaan liiton, Päijät-Hämeen liiton, Terveyden ja hyvinvoinnin laitoksen, Luonnonvarakeskuksen, Laurea-ammattikorkeakoulun, Haaga-Helia ammattikorkeakoulun ja Metropolia Ammattikorkeakoulun yhteinen edunvalvontatoimisto Brysselissä. Toimisto tukee sopimuskumppaniensa EU-edunvalvontaa ja edistää niiden näkyvyyttä EU-foorumeilla. Toimiston tehtävänä on tämän lisäksi tiedon välittäminen EU-lainsäädännön valmistelutyöstä, EU-rahoitusohjelmien rakenteesta ja avautuvista rahoitushauista, tapahtumista ja yhteistyö- ja verkostoitumismahdollisuuksista.
EU Legislative Interests
Helsinki EU Office pyrkii vaikuttamaan EU-politiikkoihin ja lainsäädäntöön useilla sopimuskumppaniensa kannalta keskeisillä sektoreilla, kuten eurooppalainen kaupunkipolitiikka (esim. EUI), koheesiopolitiikka (esim. Euroopan rakenne- ja investointirahastot), tutkimus- ja innovaatiopolitiikka (esim. Horisontti, FP10), koulutuspolitiikka (esim. EEA, Erasmus+), liikennepolitiikka (esim. Greening freight package ja TEN-T), digi- ja datapolitiikka (esim. tekoälysäädös, sirusäädös), terveyspolitiikka (EHDS ja muut eurooppalaiset data-avaruusaloitteet sekä ympäristö- ja energiapolitiikka (esim. Green Dealin alaiset lakialoitteet).
