Mission & Goals
The purpose of the Association is, by any lawful means, the development of the institution of Private Insurance, the handling and promotion of all issues concerning Private Insurance within the framework of Greek legislation and the legislation of the European Union, the protection and advancement of the moral, professional, and financial interests of its Members, as well as the pursuit by any appropriate means of the development of private insurance enterprises based on the recognition of the necessity for equal treatment of members, so that through reciprocity and realistic proportionality the interests of larger companies are not harmed and the prospects for the growth of smaller Greek and foreign insurance companies operating legally in Greece are facilitated.

Communication Activities
The main task of promoting the messages of the European insurance market, including the Greek market, is carried out by Insurance Europe, the European federation of insurance associations. At the same time, and with the aim of highlighting the specific concerns of the domestic market, letters are sent to Members of the European Parliament, the respective representatives of the Greek government in the Council, the Permanent Greek Representation, and occasionally to the office of the Greek Commissioner, while in-person meetings are also pursued.

Apart from staff costs, the annual lobbying costs refer mainly to travel expenses during a calendar year, are limited in number, as the main lobbying activity is pursued by Insurance Europe, representative body of the European insurance associations: https://www.insuranceeurope.eu/. No permanent Greek office exists in Brussels.
