Mission & Goals

Founded in 2003, the Health and Environment Alliance (HEAL) is the leading European not-for-profit organisation addressing how the environment affects health in the European Union and beyond. HEAL’s 70+ member organisations include international and European organisations as well as national and local groups of health professionals, not-for-profit health insurers, patients, citizens, women, youth, and environmental experts, together representing over 200 million people across the 53 countries of the WHO European Region. With its members and partners, HEAL brings independent expertise and evidence from the health community to different decision-making processes. The organisation’s vision is a healthy planet for healthier people in Europe and beyond. https://www.env-health.org/about/
