Mission & Goals
The Handicraft Chamber of Ukraine (HCU–MSMEs) is a national non-profit professional organisation representing craft activities, small-scale industry and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). Its remit is to strengthen the institutional positioning, competitiveness and skills development of the craft and MSME sector, promote vocational education and labour market integration, and support structured dialogue between business, public authorities and European partners. HCU contributes to alignment with relevant EU policies and regulatory frameworks in areas including SME policy, social dialogue, local economic development, skills modernisation and sectoral resilience. The Chamber facilitates knowledge exchange, policy awareness and capacity-building initiatives supporting Ukraine’s economic integration trajectory.

Communication Activities
The Handicraft Chamber of Ukraine (HCU–MSMEs) engages in structured communication activities related to the above-mentioned EU legislative and policy frameworks through institutional dialogue, participation in policy-oriented events and thematic exchanges. Activities include participation in public conferences, expert briefings and stakeholder consultations organised by the European Commission and the European Parliament, as well as engagement in policy discussions within European networks and platforms. The Chamber contributes sector-specific input concerning vocational education and training, SME competitiveness, skills development, local economic resilience and alignment with relevant EU regulatory frameworks. HCU disseminates information to its members regarding developments in EU legislation and programmes, including Erasmus+, the Ukraine Facility and the Single Market Programme. Communication activities also include the preparation of analytical notes, position contributions and participation in thematic roundtables addressing SME policy, social dialogue and economic integration matters.Where relevant, representatives attend meetings with officials of EU institutions in the context of stakeholder dialogue, partnership-building and policy awareness activities
