Mission & Goals
The Hahn-Schickard-Gesellschaft für angewandte Forschung e.V. (Hahn-Schickard-Society for Applied Research, registered society) is a non-profit RTO based in the southwest of Germany. It primarily focuses on applied research and development in the areas of sensors and actuators, smart system integration, cyber-physical systems, communication technology, software development, lab-on-a-chip and analytics, microelectronics, mounting and connection technology, micromounting, and reliability. This includes the interdisciplinary development of new technologies, collaboration with universities, training and education activities, collaboration with industry - in particular with SMEs - to transfer innovative technologies, and innovation and entrepreneurship support. A fundamental goal is to strengthen local industry through applied research and to enhance the competitiveness of regional businesses.
