Mission & Goals
Improve healthcare quality across Europe by creating a patient-centric, outcomes-driven community. Serve as a central repository for reports, tools, and educational materials from Health Outcome Observatories to ensure consistency and interoperability. Support the creation of these observatories in Europe, promoting interoperability and preventing fragmentation using a federated data management approach. Oversee business strategies and support the financial stability of national observatories by developing policies and distributing revenues generated at the pan-European level. Focus on social and societal goals, reinvesting earnings to achieve objectives. As a non-profit organization, its activities are not for profit and do not serve members’ financial interests, prioritizing the common good. H2O is established under the IMI, but it is not expected to be merely a temporary project. H2O consists of independent legal entities that will continue operating beyond the IMI funding period.
