Mission & Goals

The GRC Foundation Brussels, founded in 2024, conducts research on Gulf-Europe matters, and promotes academic research both in and about the Gulf region. It provides objective and comprehensive analysis and information about the region in relation to Europe through projects and training carried out by the organization, often in partnership with other research organizations and the European Union. GRCF-B works to build a network of relevant stakeholders from politics, business, media, and academia in an effort to contribute to mutually beneficial ties, as well as to support a cultural dialogue between Europe and the Gulf region.

EU Legislative Interests

Preserve peace, security and stability in the wider Gulf and Middle Easter regions as a shared interest of EU and GCC partners (Escalation of violence in the Middle East and the situation in Lebanon - 2024/2850(RSP); The need for an EU and international response to the Houthi attacks in the Red Sea and for continued support to the Yemeni peace process - 2024/2519(RSP), Explore EU-GCC trade dialogue (Resolution on the free trade agreement between the EC and the Gulf Cooperation Council - 2008/2552(RSP)), Cooperation between EU and GCC countries on climate action and clean energy transition (UN Climate Change Conference 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan (COP29) - 2024/2718(RSP)),
