Mission & Goals
Viscaria is a Swedish listed mining company developing the Viscaria copper project in Kiruna, northern Sweden. The company’s objective is to establish a modern and sustainable copper mine producing high-grade copper for industrial use. Copper is an essential material for electrification, energy systems and infrastructure. Viscaria aims to supply responsibly produced copper with a low climate footprint, based on fossil-free electricity and modern production methods. The company’s operations are based in Sweden, where Viscaria is developing one of Europe’s more advanced copper projects, with planned production start in 2028. Activities include project development, environmental permitting, construction and stakeholder engagement at local, national and European level.
