Mission & Goals
Le Groupe européen de droit international privé a pour objet d’étudier l’interaction du droit international privé et du droit européen.
EU Legislative Interests
The object of GEDIP's influencing activities is directed at the EU institutions, (in particular, the European Commission as the EU institution in charge of EU legislative proposals) in the area of Judicial Cooperation in the area of Civil Justice (Article 881 TFEU). Among other Regulations in this policy area, Members of the GEDIP have been selected by the European Commission to be part of the Expert Sub-Group on the Recast of the Brussels I Regulation (Regulation 1215/2012). The work of GEDIP will form the basis for our input in this Expert Sub-Group.
