Mission & Goals

Gran Logia Simbólica Española is a liberal and adogmatic association committed to the promotion of human dignity, freedom of conscience, equality, fraternity, ethical reflection, and democratic values. GLSE brings together members from diverse cultural, philosophical, and professional backgrounds in a spirit of dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect. The organisation’s remit includes fostering intellectual, moral, and civic development through educational, philosophical, cultural, and charitable activities. GLSE encourages reflection on contemporary social, ethical, and humanitarian challenges, while supporting initiatives related to human rights, social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, gender equality, secularism, and the strengthening of democratic principles and civil society. Protection and promotion of fundamental rights and freedoms within the European Union, including freedom of conscience, equality, non-discrimination, and democratic participation; Policies related to the rule of law, European citizenship, civic engagement, and the strengthening of democratic institutions and civil society; EU initiatives concerning human rights, gender equality, diversity, inclusion, and social cohesion; Legislative and policy initiatives relating to ethics, transparency, good governance, and the promotion of democratic values at European level; Cultural, educational, and intercultural dialogue policies fostering tolerance, pluralism, and mutual understanding among European societies; EU strategies and initiatives addressing social inclusion, anti-discrimination, secularism, and the protection of vulnerable groups; Policies supporting international cooperation, peace, dialogue among cultures, and the promotion of universal humanitarian values; Horizontal EU frameworks concerning citizens’ participation, civil society engagement, and the ethical dimension of emerging societal and technological challenges.

Communication Activities

Gran Logia Simbólica Española organises and participates in conferences, public debates, roundtables, seminars, cultural events, and academic discussions addressing topics connected to European democratic values, human rights, ethics, equality, civic participation, intercultural dialogue, and social inclusion. The organisation also publishes institutional statements, position papers, articles, educational materials, and public communications aimed at fostering reflection and dialogue on issues of societal relevance within the European context. GLSE contributes to exchanges with civil society organisations, academic actors, and international partners on matters related to democracy, fundamental freedoms, ethical governance, and humanitarian values. In addition, GLSE supports awareness-raising initiatives, intercultural and educational activities, and public outreach efforts designed to encourage tolerance, pluralism, solidarity, and constructive civic engagement.
