Mission & Goals
GOPA PACE, an integral part of the GOPA Group network, it is committed to implementing complex international cooperation initiatives aiming to support sustainable development and democratic values. Active since 1995, it has extensive experience in EU-funded programmes, particularly in human rights, cultural heritage and security sector reform (SSR). Our work contributes to the promotion of rule of law, good governance and inclusive public institutions. With activities in over 110 countries, including fragile and transition contexts, GOPA PACE applies locally driven, participatory approaches. In human rights, we focus on institutional strengthening and protection of fundamental freedoms. In cultural heritage we supports preservation and promotion of identity and social cohesion. SSR efforts aim to develop accountable and transparent security institutions. All our actions follow strong ethical principles, cultural sensitivity and foster local ownership for long lasting impact.
