Mission & Goals
The Global Shippers’ Forum (GSF) is the organisation for businesses that are shippers (beneficial cargo owners) of goods in international trade. Shippers are responsible for the import and export of goods and for contracting with carriers, forwarders and other logistics services providers for the carriage of goods by all modes of transport. GSF represents the interests of shippers to global, regional and national regulatory bodies and campaigns for safe, efficient and environmentally sustainable trade and logistics.
EU Legislative Interests
Competition policy and regulation of transport markets; policy and regulation of transport operations, including safety, security and environmental standards (EU Green Deal; GHG emission reduction targets, air quality criteria); digitisation of trade and transport transactions (including blockchain, robotics, AI) professional skills development and education; trade facilitation and procedures, including Customs tariffs (UCCC); infrastructure development, funding and operation (including TENs, ports & airports policy; road and rail links) Development of EU trade with the Rest of the World.
Communication Activities
Weekly, monthly and quarterly briefings to the GSF membership and other partners. Frequent media interviews and broadcasts, explaining significance of world trade and commerce to consumers and business.
