Mission & Goals
The Global March Against Child Labour (GMACL) works to ensure that all children can enjoy all their rights, that they have a free quality public education, and that they are protected from doing any work that could harm them or hinder their development. The GMACL believes that by generating a very high level of public awareness and commitment child labour eradication and education for all is possible to achieve. The GMACL believes that the voice and leadership of former and existing child labourers and youth advocates must be included in the struggle against child labour and this involvement and empowerment will demonstrate the power that children can have in shaping the future of our world. The GMACL commits to compel widespread government action to ratify and implement ILO Conventions 182 and 138 and other related child labour treaties/Conventions within the ongoing poverty alleviation framework.
