Mission & Goals
Established in 2014, the Global Alliance for Patient Access (GAfPA) and its European division, the European Alliance for Patient Access (EAfPA), is a non-profit organisation that provides a unique platform for health care stakeholders to convene, identify unmet needs, set advocacy priorities, and advance narratives about the value of patient-centered care in order to inform policymakers. GAfPA has extensive experience addressing unmet patient needs in policy conversations across various disease states and medical specialties including: o Cardiology o Dermatology o Endocrinology o Infectious Diseases o Immunology o Neurology o Pain Management o Pulmonology o Rheumatology o Oncology o Blood health o Kidney health
EU Legislative Interests
All healthcare-related policy dossiers, with a focus on: • European Health Union (all related initiatives) • Pharmaceutical Strategy for Europe and to the revision of the legislation for special populations: Regulation on Orphan Medicinal Products (OMP) • European Health Data Space • Europe’s Beating Cancer • Directive on Clinical Trials/Clinical Trials Regulation • Horizon Europe • EU4Health • Medical Devices Regulation • Prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases • Regulation on health technology assessment • Directive on Patients’ Rights in Cross Border Healthcare - NCD Initiative - Women's Helath
