Mission & Goals
Ondernemers in de glastuinbouw telen op een verantwoorde manier groenten, bloemen, planten en zachtfruit onder glas ter bevordering van een gezonde en gelukkigere samenleving. Zij zijn met elkaar in staat om op economisch verantwoorde wijze consumentenwensen en milieueisen in hun bedrijfsvoering en omgeving te verenigen. In de beschermde omgeving van de kas gebruiken zij al het goede van de natuur optimaal, houden zij ziekten en belagers buiten de deur en sluiten zij milieubelastende reststromen uit. Ook bieden zij uitdagende banen op ieder opleidingsniveau en op veel verschillende vakgebieden. Glastuinbouw Nederland verenigt en ondersteunt ondernemers hierin met als belangrijkste activiteiten lobby richting de (inter)nationale, provinciale en regionale overheden, het aanjagen van kennisontwikkeling en het inspireren van ondernemers door kennisuitwisseling.
EU Legislative Interests
Glastuinbouw Nederland richt zich in Europees verband met name, maar niet uitsluitend, op de volgende onderwerpen: arbeid, energie en klimaat, financiën, plantgezondheid, water en omgeving.

Glastuinbouw Nederland is lid van de volgende organisaties: Land- en Tuinbouworganisatie Nederland (LTO Nederland; www.lto.nl), Comité des organisations professionnelles agricoles (Copa; www.copa-cogeca.eu), Vereniging VNO-NCW (www.vno-ncw.nl), Floriculture Sustainability Initiative (FSI; www.fsi2025.nl), Milieu Programma Sierteelt (MPS; www.my-mps.com), Groene Kracht Vooruit (www.groenekrachtvooruit.nl) en Platform Carbon Management NL (www.ccu-alliantie.nl). Daarnaast ondersteunt Glastuinbouw Nederland samen met Flynth Adviseurs en Accountants en Westland Partners gewascoöperaties voor alstroemeria, bromelia, eenjarige zomerbloeiers, freesia, gerbera, kalanchoë, komkommer, lelie, lisianthus, paprika, potorchidee, roos, snij-cymbidium en tomaat (zie: www.glastuinbouwnederland.nl/gewascooperaties/). Tevens cofinancieert Glastuinbouw Nederland Stichting Innovatie Glastuinbouw Nederland (SIGN; www.innovatieglastuinbouw.nl) en runt zij het secretariaat van het publiek-private innovatieprogramma Kennis in je Kas (KijK; www.kennisinjekas.nl).

Glastuinbouw Nederland kent drie leden: Land- en Tuinbouworganisatie Noord (LTO Noord; www.ltonoord.nl), Zuidelijke Land- en Tuinbouworganisatie (ZLTO; www.zlto.nl) en de Limburgse Land- en Tuinbouworganisatie (LTTB; www.lltb.nl).
