Mission & Goals
PoliTruck, under Gianmarco Scollo sole proprietorship, is a platform for political consultancy, public affairs, and strategic policy analysis. Its mission is to enhance transparency, civic engagement, and institutional dialogue by supporting public and private actors in understanding and engaging with European and international policymaking. Operating across sectors such as digital policy, fintech, sustainability, agriculture, defence, and international cooperation, PoliTruck provides tailored policy briefings, advocacy strategies, and guidance on EU funding mechanisms. A key part of its work involves strengthening EU–Africa relations and promoting global partnerships rooted in democratic governance and sustainable development principles.
EU Legislative Interests
PoliTruck follows and engages with a range of EU legislative and policy initiatives that impact its areas of focus. These include: • EU Digital Strategy and AI Act – covering digital transformation, artificial intelligence, platform regulation, and data governance. • European Green Deal and Farm to Fork Strategy – especially in relation to sustainable agriculture, fisheries, and circular economy practices. • EU–Africa Strategy and implementation of the Samoa Agreement – with a focus on development cooperation, external financing, and partnership frameworks. • EU Defence and Security Policies, including the Strategic Compass and EU support for dual-use technologies. • EU Financial Services Regulation – particularly concerning fintech, crypto-assets (MiCA), and digital finance. • External Action Instruments – such as NDICI-Global Europe and initiatives under DG INTPA for regional development and investment. • Migration and Asylum Pact – particularly in the context of external relations and partnerships with African countries. PoliTruck monitors these initiatives to inform strategic advice and support meaningful engagement with EU institutions.
Communication Activities
PoliTruck engages in several communication and outreach activities aimed at raising awareness and facilitating dialogue around key EU policy initiatives. These include: • Publication of policy briefings and analytical articles on topics such as EU-Africa relations, digital regulation (AI Act, Digital Services Act), sustainable development, and EU funding programmes — available via www.politruck.net. • Organization of stakeholder roundtables and webinars, including informal policy dialogues with EU experts, researchers, and representatives from third countries, particularly in the areas of development cooperation and digital governance. • Contributions to international events, such as conferences at the European Parliament, WHO headquarters, and national parliaments (e.g. Bundestag, Westminster), where PoliTruck’s expertise has supported debate on global health, fintech, and sustainable finance. • Strategic communication support for partner organisations and governments, helping them interpret and respond to EU policies through targeted content, social media outreach, and engagement with institutional stakeholders.
