EU Legislative Interests

N/A - TNFD has developed a set of disclosure recommendations and guidance that encourage and enable business and finance to assess, report and act on their nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities. The recommendations and guidance will enable businesses and finance to integrate nature into decision making. Our aim is to support a shift in global financial flows away from nature-negative outcomes and toward nature-positive outcomes, aligned with the Global Biodiversity Framework. TNFD works to raise the profile of the recommendations and to encourage consideration and participation from financial institutions. Currently no specific proposals or policies are targeted but TNFD seeks to encourage participation and incorporation where possible. Our CEO and technical expert met with representatives of the EC in Italy for an introductory presentation on the TNFD, and have a subsequent more detailed focus on the topics you would find more useful, which could include our cooperation and ongoing alignment work with European reporting standards and regulatory landscape, and our priorities for the next phase of adoption.
