Mission & Goals

Gemeinsam gegen Menschenhandel e.V. (GGMH) is an alliance of more than 40 organizations, as well as experts in the field who work against human trafficking throughout Germany and Austria. Some of our members are active in the area of prevention, others work in the area of victim protection and assistance. Based on the understanding that sexual exploitation violates a person’s basic human dignity, GGMH places a special focus on preventing and combating trafficking for sexual exploitation. Our focuses and goals are:  Raising public awareness.  Conducting research through different EU-funded and other projects.  Improving the legal framework in Germany.  Amplifying survivors’ voices.  Realizing prevention work in Germany as well as in countries of origin.  Protecting and assisting victims by supporting our member organizations.  Networking with relevant actors nationally and internationally.  Identifying and pooling existing resources within the alliance.
