Mission & Goals

GAZ-SYSTEM is a company of strategic importance for the economy and energy security responsible for the transmission of natural gas and the management of the high-pressure gas transmission system in Poland together with natural gas storage facilities. It actively participates in the development of an integrated transmission system in Europe and acts as the independent operator of the Polish section of the Yamal gas pipeline. It owns and operates the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście. As part of the 2015-2025 investment program, GAZ-SYSTEM is developing over 2000 km of new gas transmission pipelines in the west, south and east of Poland. As of 2022 the company operates new interconnections with Lithuania and Slovakia as well as the Baltic Pipe project. We plan FSRU Terminal in the Gdańsk Bay in order to enable larger volumes of LNG. As part of reporting obligations on the energy market, the following information is made public by GAZ-SYSTEM on the Gas Inside Information Platform (GIIP).

EU Legislative Interests

GAZ-SYSTEM main interest and activities in the EU agenda remains remain under, Gas and Decarbonisation legislation package, III Energy Package and related to the Energy Union with the underlying legislative, non-legislative proposals. Communications and policy initiatives EU Infrastructure Policy, TEN-E Regulation and CEF funding Gas Target Model II as well as Clean Energy Package. List of files GAZ-SYSTEM take part in public consultations: • Hydrogen and decarbonised gas market package • COMMUNICATION FROM THE COMMISSION TO THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT, THE COUNCIL, THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COMMITTEE AND THE COMMITTEE OF THE REGIONS A hydrogen strategy for a climate-neutral Europe • EU taxonomy delegated act • European Green Deal – Just Transition Fund • EU funds in the area of strategic infrastructure • EU funds in the area of investment, research & innovation, SMEs and single market • EU funds in the area of Cohesion • Strategy for long-term EU greenhouse gas emissions reductions. • Guidelines for trans-European energy infrastructure and repealing Regulation (EU) No 347/2013 • REMIT regulation GAZ-SYSTEM take as well active role within communication with MEP's working on Grid Package and REPowerEU regulation. GAZ-SYSTEM was active on many possible levels on the last two years work of the EU insitutions on the Hydrogen and decarbonised gas market package. GAZ-SYSTEM take as well active role in process of hydrogen projects promotion especially PCIs.

Communication Activities

Event remaining remaining under activities of the company relating to the EU founding received by company. As well as regarding membership in ENTSOG, Pre-ENNOH, GIE, Hydrogen Europe, EHB, and Gas Naturally, European Clean Hydrogen Alliance, Tripatriate Agreement, EU joint purchesing platform for H2 and Biomethane.
