Mission & Goals

The purpose of the foundation is to support, promote and integrate Romanian Culture into the international artistic circuit, by creating and performing artistic events with the participation of the most proeminent personalities of the world music stages. “George Enescu Foundation” wishes to continue a tradition of excellence in the musical enterprise as well as the rediscovering and perpetuation of the remarkable artistic climate which included in the past names such as: George Enescu, Dinu Lipatti, Cella Delavrancea, Clara Haskil, George Georgescu, Dimitrie Dinicu, Eduard Wachman, Ionel Perlea, Ion Voicu, Constantin Silvestri, Valentin Gheorghiu, Sergiu Celibidache, Sergiu Comissiona, Maurice Ravel, Richard Strauss, Igor Stravinski, Yehudi Menuhin, Zubin Mehta, Herbert von Karajan, Pietro Mascagni, Vincent d’Indy, Bela Bartok, Serghei Prokofiev, Arthur Rubinstein, Jacques Thibaud, Pablo Casals, David Oistrah, Lawrence Foster, these being just a few of the personalities who h (...)
