Mission & Goals

1) To carry out comprehensive activities for people living with spinal muscular atrophy and their families and carers, aimed in particular at combating exclusion, increasing independence, and improving the quality of life in the widest sense; 2) To build public awareness of spinal muscular atrophy, in particular through improving knowledge of genetics, diagnostics, standards of care, and therapeutic methods; 3) To improve the availability of diagnostic and treatment methods, rehabilitation techniques as well as technology solutions and products suitable for people affected by spinal muscular atrophy; 4) To support systemic solutions, particularly in the areas of public health and social support, that take into account the needs of people with spinal muscular atrophy and their near and dear ones.
