Mission & Goals

Stablish the strategic guidelines; prioritize, promote and execute biomedical research at the Hospital Clínico Universitario de València and its Health Department. Facilitate and promote the teaching and preparation of postgraduates and researchers for their continuing education. Cooperate with national and international organizations and with national or foreign health or educational institutions. Lead and participate in multicentric projects with national and international reach. Manage the research process of the Hospital and the resources resulting from management contracts ensuring a balanced administration and implementing the strategic prioritization of research. Grant scholarships and financial aid for research and training. Guarantee the observance of ethical imperatives and professional ethics. Facilitate the financing, administration and management of the research process. Push forward the transfer of clinical research results and the creation of technology companies.

EU Legislative Interests

The European Commission is legislating on health issues which are the main objective of the INCLIVA Foundation, so we are very interested in: HEurope (Pilar 1 and 2, clusters 1 and 4, missions, etc), EU4Heatlh, IHI and research policies in general on issues of digital technologies and health.

Communication Activities

INCLIVA is very active attending to CE events and produces InfoDays, webinars, etc. in its area of interest, the health sector, both in person and online, and part of the staff acts as experts (evaluation assesment, advisor, ...).

Incliva belongs to the following European platforms: The Big Data Value Association (BDVA) is an industry-driven organisation to develop an innovation ecosystem that enables the data-driven digital transformation of the economy and society in Europe. (https://www.bdva.eu/) the European Advanced Translational Research Infrastructure to joint resources and services for research communities to translate scientific discoveries into benefits for patients. It is a non-profit European Research Infrastructure Consortium to facilitate the joint establishment and operation of research infrastructures of European interest, providing access to a vast array of pre-clinical and clinical expertise and facilities that are available within 144+ top-tier academic centres across Europe, to improve and optimise preclinical and early clinical development of drugs, vaccines and diagnostics. Developing solutions in the fields of advanced therapy medicinal products, imaging and tracing, small molecules, vaccines and biomarkers. (https://eatris.eu) EU-OPENSCREEN is a not-for-profit European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) for chemical biology and early drug discovery that supports all stages of a chemical tool development project, including assay adaptation, high-throughput screening, and chemical optimisation of the ‘hit’ compounds, strengthening the global scientific and economic competitiveness of Europe through delivering public health benefits. It also collaborates with 2 other research infrastructures such as ESFRI and Euro-BioImaging. (https://www.eu-openscreen.eu/) The Worldwide Innovative Networking (WIN) Consortium in personalized cancer medicine is a non-profit, non-governmental organization leading by the cancer centers worldwide to accelerate the pace and reduce the cost of translating novel cancer treatments to the bedside by developing and applying, through worldwide clinical trials and research projects, the most promising advances in genomic-based cancer research, increasing the efficacy of cancer diagnostics and therapeutics by understanding the genetics and biology of each individual’s tumor and accounting for genetic differences across diverse populations. (( https://winconsortium.org/) Gaia-X is a European initiative that aims to create a federated and secure data infrastructure promoting data sovereignty, interoperability, and trust across sectors. In the health research sector, Gaia-X enables secure sharing and reuse of health data across institutions and countries while maintaining compliance with European regulations (like GDPR).

Incliva belongs to: REGIC is the first association of clinical research management entities created in Spain at the request of professionals, with the aim of sharing experiences and creating a space for interaction and training in the management of health R&D&I https://regic.org/ CIBER: (Network of Centres for Biomedical Research) The Carlos III Health Institute develops - through the General Subdirection of Networks and Centers for the Cooperative Research - the creation of stable research network structures such as CIBER (Network of Centres for Biomedical Research). INCLIVA participates in this research structure through its associated groups. https://www.ciberisciii.es/ ITEMAS: The Platform for Dynamisation and Innovation of the industrial capacities of the National Health System and their effective transfer to the productive sector (ITEMAS) is one of the platforms of the Carlos III Institute of Health (ISCIII) to support R&D&I in Biomedicine and Health Sciences. Its objective is to effectively boost the industrial capacity generated by the National Health System and the real transfer of the results of research carried out within the National Health System to the productive sector. To this end, it has its own impact programme to accelerate the industrialisation and adoption of the innovations arising from the National Health System centres. www.itemas.org
