Mission & Goals
Freiheit für Hongkong e.V. is a non-profit organisation based in Berlin. The association was founded in 2022 by activists from Germany and Hong Kong in response to the steady deterioration of the human rights situation in Hong Kong. Our founding members are united by a common mission: We strive for a free and democratic Hong Kong.
EU Legislative Interests
Strengthening the EU Action Plan on Human Rights and Democracy: By promoting this plan, FFHK encourages the EU to do more to promote human rights and democratic values in Hong Kong. Promoting resolutions in the European Parliament: FFHK actively works to get the European Parliament to adopt resolutions condemning the situation in Hong Kong and calling for concrete action. Adapting the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP): By influencing the CFSP, FFHK tries to achieve a more coherent and determined EU stance on developments in Hong Kong and Greater China.
