Mission & Goals
freenet AG is the largest network-independent mobile communications provider in Germany with around 9.5 million term contracts. In addition, freenet AG also offers business and end customer services in the media and TV sector, including an Internet TV platform with its own backbone infrastructure and as an operator of DAB+ and DVB-T2 HD platforms. freenet AG's aim is to inform political decision-makers about the challenges posed by competition and telecommunications law in the German and European telecommunications market from the perspective of a medium-sized telecommunication company without its own network infrastructure. In addition, the information offered is also intended to create a framework in which digitalisation and the development of the markets can be promoted and created for both mobile and fixed network, digital lifestyle products and technology-neutral digitalisation.
