Mission & Goals
nucleareurope is the Brussels-based trade association for the nuclear industry in Europe. Our membership is currently composed of 15 national nuclear associations and 19 corporate members. As a result, we represent nearly 3,000 European companies working in the industry which support around 1,100,000 jobs.
EU Legislative Interests
nucleareurope activities are currently focusing on the following EU topics: energy and related policies (eg Clean Industrial Deal, Energy Market Design), sustainability policies (eg Sustainable Finance initiative), workforce and skills the Illustrative Nuclear Programme (PINC), the revision of the Euratom Treaty – Art 41 to 44 requirements, the implementation of the radioactive waste and the nuclear safety Directives and the topics of radiation protection and emergency preparedness. It is also actively involved in the European Industrial Alliance on Small Modular Reactors and the European Nuclear Energy Forum (ENEF).
Communication Activities
nucleareurope provides information and expertise on the role of nuclear . To do so, it produces position papers, newsfeeds, responses to public consultations, analyses of public opinion, infographics (http://www.nucleareurope.eu/publications/) etc. It also organises regular networking events like dinner debates, workshops, one-on-one meetings, press briefings, visits to nuclear facilities etc.
