Mission & Goals
Der Förderkreis Biozyklisch-Veganer Anbau setzt sich für die Entwicklung und Konsolidierung einer veganen Form des Ökolandbaus ein, der mit der Akkreditierung der Biozyklisch-Veganen Richtlinien bei IFOAM seit 2017 erstmals über einen weltweit einsetzbaren "stand-alone standard" verfügt. Ziel ist es, die Vorteile, die der biozyklisch-vegane Anbau in Hinblick auf Klima, Gewässer- und Bodenschutz, Erhalt der Biodiversität, menschliche Gesundheit, Welternährung und Unterstützung der kleinbäuerlichen Landwirtschaft weltweit bietet, deutlicher in die öffentliche Diskussion einzubringen und damit auch der europäischen Agrarpolitik neue Lösungsansätze und Perspektiven aufzuzeigen. EU Legislative Interests
Teilnahme an der öffentlichen Konsultation der Kommission zum EU-Aktionsplan für die Zukunft des Bio-Landbaus (gestartet im September 2020) und anderen zukünftigen Prozessen im Zusammenhang mit ökologischer und pflanzenbasierter Landwirtschaft auf europäischer Ebene.

- Training courses - Participation in trade fairs and information events - Press and media relations - Cooperation with universities and research institutes - Dialogue with politicians and non-governmental organisations In June 2021, the Förderkreis organised an international conference on vegan organic farming (International Grow Green Conference) in collaboration with an international working group and the organisation Safe Food Advocacy Europe (Brussels), which was held online due to coronavirus. In November 2024, the Förderkreis participated in a Call to Action initiated by the European Alliance for Plant-Based Foods (EAPF), which calls on the European Commission to implement the recommendations of the Strategic Dialogue on the Future of EU Agriculture. This initiative aims to promote a transformative change towards more resilient, sustainable and equitable food systems in the EU - with plant-based food at the heart of this transformation. In January 2025 the Förderkreis, together with more than 130 groups representing farmers, health professionals, consumers, animal welfare and environmental interests have written to European Commissioner for Agriculture and Food, Christophe Hansen, urging him to develop an EU Action Plan for Plant-Based Foods by 2026. Also in January 2025 the Förderkreis joined over 80 organisations from across the food system co-signing a position paper on sustainable protein diversification which was handed out to European Commissioner for Agriculture and Food, Christophe Hansen.
