Member Of

The Norwegian Consumer Council is an active member of the European Consumers' Organisation (https://www.beuc.eu/) and the international consumer organisation, Consumers International (https://www.consumersinternational.org/). We also play an active role in the TransAtlantic Consumer Dialogue (TACD), which is designed to promote contacts and discuss policy issues with our colleagues in the US. We actively feed into the EU consumer policy (and its legislative consequences) by supporting the preparation of the BEUC contributions. We provide factual evidence, studies and analysis. We also contribute to enforcing EU consumer rights in national courts and towards national authorities. Our report “Out of control” (https://www.forbrukerradet.no/out-of-control/) is a good example on how we contribute to both policy making and enforcement.
