Mission & Goals
Established in 2001 in Turin (Italy), Fondazione per la Scuola is one of the independent operating bodies of Compagnia di San Paolo, a philanthropic foundation which contributes to society by working on three overarching goals aiming at 1) enhancing culture (Culture), 2) building a fairer and more cohesive society (People), 2) sustaining the future of the planet (Planet). The main mission of FpS is to ensure inclusive and quality education at primary and secondary level by, among others, working with and for the schools of the metropolitan area of Turin (around 1,400,000 inhabitants) in Piedmont Region and Genoa (836,000 inhabitants) in Liguria region. FpS is a Training and Research Organization officially accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education. FpS has been implementing different national and European educational projects addressing the objectives described above and building strong partnerships at local, national level and international level.

Communication Activities
Communication activities and events in the framework of European projects in which FpS took part as partner or coordinator (Erasmus Programme, Horizon Europe Programme). FpS is managing the following initiatives that are addressing the EU policies mentioned above: LINEup “Longitudinal data for INequalities in Education” Horizon Europe project, coordinated by FpS. LINEup aims at identifying key success factors for quality education for all, by mapping and analysing the research design and findings of existing longitudinal data on students’ learning outcomes at primary and secondary level (6-18 year-old students). Link: https://www.fondazionescuola.it/iniziativa/digitrainer/ European funded project Raise-Up - gReen and digitAl Initiative addreSsEd to dropoUts’ Prevention, funded by the Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) programme, a part of the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), and is designed to prevent school dropout through an approach that supports learning motivation in students attending Vocational Institutes between the ages of 14 and 16, pursuing the principles of education, training, and lifelong learning as part of the European Pillars of Social Rights (EPSR). Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo (FCSP) was established for philanthropic purposes, to promote cultural, civil and economic development, on the strength of its assets and heritage. FpS cooperates with INDIRE (Istituto Nazionale di documentazione e innovazione e ricerca educativa) and IPRASE (Istituto Provinciale per la Ricerca e la Sperimentazione Educativa). Furthermore FpS collaborates with EUN (European Schoolnet).
