Mission & Goals
Within the Foundation against Cancer, our mission is: 1) to fund the best research teams who will be able to find treatments that improve the chances of survival and the quality of life of patients. 2) to act ourselves when necessary and in particular by financing psychosocial projects that will have an impact on the quality of life of people with cancer and their loved ones. 3)By adopting a healthy lifestyle, we can prevent 30 to 50% of cancers. This is why we fund prevention research and raise awareness among our fellow citizens through various prevention campaigns about, for examplet obacco consumption, the dangers of uv-radiation, etc. 4) to inform by reinforcing the global knowledge on cancer, on the mechanisms behind the disease and on the treatments; to translate the results of the research into accessible and comprehensible information for the general public.
